Annex 1 - Mandatory Conditions
No supply of alcohol may be made under this Premises Licence:
a) at a time there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence and,
b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or the personal licence is suspended and,
Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
The admission of children to an exhibition of a film where the film classification body or this Council has determined the classification must be restricted in accordance with that classification. The film classification body is the British Board of Film Classification. In this condition children means persons under 18 years of age.
Films must be classified in the following way:
U - Universal. Suitable for audiences aged four years and over.
PG - Parental Guidance. Some scenes may be unsuitable for young children.
12A - Passed only for viewing by persons aged 12 years or older or persons younger than 12 when accompanied by an adult.
15 - Passed only for viewing by persons aged 15 years and over.
18 - Passed only for viewing by persons aged 18 years and over.
Immediately before each exhibition at the premises of a film passed by the British Board of Film Classification there shall be exhibited on screen for at least five seconds in such a manner as to be easily read by all persons in the auditorium a reproduction of the certificate of the Board or, as regards a trailer advertising a film, of the statement approved by the Board indicating the classification of the film.
Where a programme includes a film recommended by the licensing authority as falling into the 12A, 15 or 18 category no person appearing to be under the age of 12 and unaccompanied, or under 15 or 18 as appropriate, shall be admitted to any part of the programme; and the licence holder shall display in a conspicuous position a notice in the following terms:
PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF [INSERT APPROPRIATE AGE] CANNOT BE ADMITTED TO ANY PART OF THE PROGRAMME.
Where films of different categories form part of the same programme, the notice shall refer to the oldest age restriction.
This condition does not apply to members of staff under the relevant age while on-duty provided that the prior written consent of the person's parent or legal guardian has first been obtained.
Each individual carrying out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.
A record shall be kept of the names and registration number of such persons and this record shall include the circumstances including full details of all events that take place during their period of duty.
Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule

Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours includes:
On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31 December).
Operating Schedule Conditions
Speakers used to relay amplified music, singing and speech provided as part of the regulated entertainment shall not be positioned outside the premises, nor internally, but directing out through external doors, windows and similar openings to the premises.
Promotional leaflets (flyers) shall not be distributed to the public outside the premises (whether immediately outside or some distance away) except with the prior written approval of the Licensing Authority, and under the terms of a litter control plan approved by the Responsible Authority for Public Nuisance (Wakefield MDC’s Environmental Protection Team).
ADVISORY NOTE:
You can help facilitate patrons leaving in a quiet manner through promoting a ‘calm down’ period at the end of the night. Finish any “lively” entertainment (disco, live music, etc) about 30 minutes before the bar closes and play softer background music. Continue to sell water, soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages and allow customers to leave naturally.
The Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Systems are to be tested weekly and a written record of these tests is to be kept. Any faults identified and the relevant actions taken to rectify them are to be noted in the record.
All exit routes must be kept clear and remain free from obstruction at all times.
The sale of alcohol must be ancilliary to music and dancing. Music and dancing will continue to be a prminent feature of trading.
Soft drinks wil continue to be available until 30 minutes before the premises closes and free drinking water will be available at all times.
Prominent, clear notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting customers and staff to respect the needs of local residents and leave the premises and area quietly.
The Designated Premises Supervisor shall be a member of the Local (Wakefield) Pubwatch Scheme for as long as such scheme remains in existence.
Any person on the premises who appears to be under 18 years of age attempting to purchase alcohol from the establishment shall be challenged to produce photographic evidence to ascertain their proof of age.
Text and/or radio pagers, where already used shall continue to be used for any additional hours the premises remains open to the public. The text/ radio pagers shall be maintained in working order at all times.
The pager link shall be activated, made available to and monitored by the designated premises supervisor or a responsible member of staff at all times that the premises are open to the public.
Any police instructions/ directions shall be complied with whenever given and all instances of crime or disorder shall be reported via the text/ radio pager link by the designated premises supervisor or a responsible member of staff to an agreed police contact point.
All glasses that are used on the premises shall continue to be either made from toughened glass or plastic
All glasses that are used on the premises, when considered necessary during particular events (e.g. during sporting events etc), shall be made of either toughened glass or plastic.
Children (as defined in the Licensing Act 2003) shall not be allowed on any part of the premises where entertainment of an adult nature is being provided.
Persons under 18 years of age will be allowed on the premises when NO alcohol is being sold.
Where the premises is to open for licensable activities to show the broadcast (up to 20 events) of televised sporting events of national or international interest outside normal licensed operating hours, at least 7 days prior written notice shall be given to the Police and the Licensing Authority and is subject to consent by the Police.
Notification from the Licence holder to include in the intended opening times, the sporting event to be shown and what measures will be implemented to
promote the licensing objectives.
