Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Operating Schedule
1. A CCTV system to a specification required by West Yorkshire Police and to current Home Office Guidelines will be installed and utilised at the premises with a sufficient storage capacity to store a minimum of 31 days footage; recording at a minimum of 7-12 Frames per Second (FPS). The CCTV System must provide images to an evidential quality standard, covering the public waiting / serving area & main entrance door. (Advisory Note:-The CCTV System must be registered with Information Commissioners Officer (ICO) to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).)
2. The CCTV System must provide images to an evidential quality standard, covering the serving area and entry & exit points, will be covered by CCTV camera’s enabling frontal identification of every person entering in any light condition.
3. Staff shall be trained in the use of the CCTV system to ensure rapid data retrieval. Downloads will be provided to Police & the Local Authority, immediately on request.
4. CCTV shall be active on a 24 hour basis and at least one member of staff who is trained in downloading from the system shall be on the premises during trading hours.
5. In the event of a failure of the CCTV system for any reason, a record of the failure will be recorded in the premises’ incident book and immediate steps will be made to rectify the problem. All actions taken to remedy the CCTV faults(s) shall be recorded in the incident register.
6. Signs must be displayed within the shop premises to inform customers that CCTV is in use.
7. An incident register with consecutively numbered pages in a bound format shall be maintained and kept at the premises at all times. The book shall be checked weekly and signed by the DPS / Nominated Manager. The incident register must be made available for inspection to Police & the Local Authority, immediately on request.
8. Signs must be displayed inside the premises, requesting that all customers leave quietly and refrain from making any noise nuisance.
9. At the end of trading hours on each and every day the pavement to the frontage of the premises shall be cleared of litter and waste and cleansed of any urine, vomit of similar fouling.
10. Covered litter bins shall be available for customer use outside the premises at all times when the premises are trading and shall be emptied at regular intervals and at the end of trading every day.
