Operating Schedule Conditions
The Senior Events Officer will be accountable for ensuring that each event has a designated lead individual who will have considered the following:
The location of generators, plant, speakers and amplification equipment, taking into account all aspects of health and safety and noise in relation to sensitive premises.
The location of food stalls in relation to sensitive premises.
Participants in events e.g. fairground rides have insurance and safety certificates.
Participants working with children e.g. Father Christmas, will have valid CRB clearance.
Cleansing services will have been informed of the event to ensure that the area may be cleared afterwards, attention may be given to additional aspects of waste during each event.
Inform emergency services police, fire and A&E services of each event if appropriate.
Complete a risk assessment for each event.
Ensure a first aid and police presence at each event where appropriate.
Ensure a security presence at each event where appropriate.
Liase with appropriate responsible authorities where concerns are raised/or clarification is required in relation to public nuisance etc.
Where a fireworks display is to be included as part of an event, ensure that the firework regulations 2004 are adhered to.
To provide a clear point of contact for the duration of each event where complaints/concerns are raised.
Inform by letter, prior to the event, all sensitive premises who will possibly suffer from some form of disruption due to the event or actions that have to be taken in order for the event to take place e.g. road closures etc.
